As the name indicates, this hotspot is primarily useful for eBirding the Eurasian Collared-Doves that are found here. The doves have been most frequently reported from where Clark Street intersects Pension Street, though there are scattered reports from elsewhere in the town of Chincoteague. They frequent backyards, and can be seen perched on wires, in trees, or visiting feeders. You may be lucky enough to spot one by slowly cruising the streets, but there are sidewalks all around if you prefer to park and search on foot. There are reports of Eurasian Collared-Doves from the town beginning in 2012 and 2013, though the bulk of records are from 2014-2018. Since then there have been only a handful of reports, with none after November 2019 (as of February 2020). The peak count reported from here was only eight birds, so it is possible that this small population has blinked out.
